Today I went to work to a privately owned public library, a first since lockdown.
I was not focused. My earbuds were broken, everything interrupted me. I was hungry. But I did enjoy the change of scenery. I looked at people on the streets. I chatted up attendants. I bought a used bike at a pawn shop (here in Mexico they have wonderful names like “Fundación Monte de Piedad”). All in all, I enjoyed the day, I did get enough work done, just not deep work.
As I ponder what to do tomorrow—should I work from home, or should I work outside? Oh, I know the perfect place where I can work tomorrow. It’s not a terrific view but I’ve eyed it before.
