I was in the middle of a sci-fi war between Hernán Cortés and company, vs Aztecs of the future. I'm not sure what side I was on. I convinced them that their war against each other was useless, for there was an alien invasion coming soon. They joined forces to produce new and improved weaponry. One of the units was a "cat spider".
On its tummy it had entrances from which you could access the war machine.
